Target Audience

This activity is intended for ophthalmologists in Massachusetts and across the country, including retina specialists.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:  

  • Discuss how we can improve screening and prevent delayed treatment in both diabetic macular edema (DME) and neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). ​ 
  • Discuss consequences of delayed treatment initiation for patients with DME and nAMD.​ 
  • Describe efficacy and safety of newer anti-VEGF treatments for nAMD to increase treatment adherence. ​ 
  • Evaluate the benefits of newly available treatment anti-VEGF options for DME.
