An intensive series of three-hour symposia
providing information on the benefits
and limitations of AMD treaments.
Management of Advanced Macular Degeneration (AMD), a series of live symposia across the country, is accredited by Johns Hopkins. Since 2006 DKBmed has produced 10 meetings as part of the Johns Hopkins eSeminar Series. These intensive three-hour symposia provide information on the benefits and limitations of AMD treatments to retina specialists and ophthalmologists. Each symposia features world renowned faculty from Johns Hopkins and other institutions.
Working closely with the faculty, DKBmed handles all program logistics, including an extensive audience recruitment effort that has yielded symposium attendance by 22% of all ophthalmologists within a 100-mile radius each meeting.
The program is accredited for physicians and supported by an educational grant from Genentech.
