Dean Beals
President & CEO
Dean founded DKBmed in 2002 and has worked in CME for more than 20 years. He has partnered with some of the country’s leading accredited providers to create world-class continuing medical education for a wide range of clinicians. DKBmed’s programs strive to close knowledge gaps and achieve meaningful outcomes by using unique learning modalities (PDA, e-mail) as part of multi-year programs.
Dean has created a number of distinctive and highly successful programs, including Johns Hopkins eLiterature Review™ series, which reaches over 20,000 clinicians monthly in disciplines ranging from Neonatology to Infectious Diseases. Prior to founding DKBmed, Dean developed Vertibrae, a CME-accredited collection of online communities delivering information, practical knowledge, and opinion-leader expertise to health care professionals in six specialty areas.
Stan Pogroszewski
Vice President & Director of Compliance
Stan is an attorney admitted to the New York and California Bars. As the Estate Administrator for the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern District of California and as Law Clerk for a Bankruptcy Court Judge, Stan acquired a background in code- and regulatory-based law prior to his specialization in continuing medical education. Stan has been involved in healthcare for over 15 years, advising medical education and communication companies and others in the healthcare enterprise. Stan joined DKBmed when it was formed in 2002 to address the important issues of compliance with various codes and guidances. In today’s current regulatory environment, Stan’s guidance has been invaluable in helping the company understand evolving ACCME, OIG, AMA, ADVAMED, and other regulations as well as managing the relationships with DKBmed’s accredited partners and funders.
Patricia Galinski, EdD
Director of Education
Patricia has 35 years of experience in the field of education, including 20 years of instructional practice as a classroom teacher and 15 years of supervisory practice as an administrator in education. As a veteran educator Patricia is skilled in multiple instructional strategies; in needs assessment; in research; and in curriculum and program development and evaluation. Patricia holds a BS and MS in Education from the State University of New York–Buffalo State College, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Education Administration from the State University of New York–College at Brockport and an EdD in Educational Administration from the University of Rochester.
Robert Busker
Medical Director
Bob is a communications and education specialist with over 25 years experience in the medical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare arenas. He has created both accredited (CME) and non-accredited curricula for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists; training programs for sales forces; and patient education programs. For DKBmed, Bob developed the accredited Johns Hopkins School of Medicine eLiterature Review™ and eSeminar™ series, and currently serves as managing editor of all the programs. As Medical Director, he is responsible for ensuring that the content of DKBmed’s programs are not only scientifically accurate but are also clinically relevant to improving patient outcomes.
Crystal Johnson
Director of Program Management
Crystal is a Program Manager at DKBmed, where she is responsible for all aspects of CME activities and marketing initiatives that include the creation and implementation of timelines, logistical coordination, and production of promotional materials. She works closely with other accredited providers to ensure proper documentation and filing of all CME activities are in accordance with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) guidelines. Crystal is a member of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining the DKBmed team, Ms. Johnson worked as CME Project Manager at Medscape.
Gary Morse
Program Manager
Gary has worked in continuing education since 1992 when, as producer for PRIMEDIA’s Health and Sciences Television Network, he inaugurated a series of programs, including a live, satellite-delivered clinical series for the respiratory care providers of subscriber hospitals across the U.S. With experience that includes a multidisciplinary approach to CE Gary has brought Telly Award–winning educational achievement to adult learning in formats that include broadcast, webcast, CD-Rom, live meetings, and enduring materials. Gary enjoys his role as a change agent, forging new relationships and building lasting ones in this exciting industry.
Antwoine Shepard
Grants Manager
Antwoine is responsible for managing all educational grant requests for DKBmed, as well as monitoring current grant status/timelines. Antwoine has ten years experience in client relations, account management, and marketing and office operations. Most recently Antwoine was DKBmed’s Office Manager, supervising all aspects of the company’s day to day operations. Prior to DKBmed, he was an inventory control associate for ABC Carpet and Home in New York City, a high-end home decorating emporium. Antwoine was also eastern regional account manager for KAL International Marketing Specialists in Miami, and he worked for the New York/New Jersey Minority Purchasing Council in New York City, where he specialized in the identification and certification of minority business enterprises.
Anna Muehlenhaupt
Assistant Grants Manager/Office Manager
Anna joined DKBmed in June 2011. She supervises and assists with the company's day-to-day operations. Additionally, she assists in grant research and maintaining DKBmed's social media presence. Prior to joining DKBmed, Anna worked in educational and managerial roles in both small and large companies in the US and abroad. She attended San Francisco State University and holds a Bachelor of Art Degree in Linguistics
Anthony Pace
Associate Web Developer
Anthony is in charge of maintenance and development of our corporate website, as well as our other web projects. He specializes in creating user centered designs and has ten years experience as a web programmer.
Rachel Deerr
Associate Program Manager
Rachel joined DKBmed in March 2012. She assists with DKBmed's CME and promotional activities, including the coordination of live events and enduring materials. Prior to joining DKBmed, Rachel worked in advertising account/project management. She attended The Fashion Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising & Marketing Communications.
